The Northern Cement Corporation (NCC), a company under San Miguel Corporation, invited the Colayco Foundation for Education to conduct a Retirement Program. Mr. Oliver Gorrospe, General Manager of NCC, raised that it is important for their retirees to be ready as they retire, especially because they have treated everyone as members of their NCC Family.
A two-day retirement workshop was given by the CFE for the retiring employees of NCC. The program targeted two main aspects that will have a big change when they enter the world of being unemployed: Psychological and Financial.

Everyone having a good time
The first day of the program is all about the Psychological preparation that the employees will need as a change in their everyday lives will occur. Ms. Lydia, a retired Guidance Councilor, shared her personal experiences in her retirement day and how she has coped up with them.
In the second day of the program, Mr. Armand Bengco, Executive Director of CFE, discussed the usual mistakes that retirees do when they receive their retirement pay. He also said that instead of spending the retirement pay for big ticket items, he suggested that it can be used to replace their salaries if it can be invested wisely. He also said that the retirees can still go into some activities that can generate income.
Retirement is only the end of work, not the end of life. Do you agree? Let us conduct a Retirement Seminar for your corporation, association, or group. Give your retirees a new leap in their new phase. Call us at 637-3731 or 637-3741 and look for Mr. James Gonzales.
